The Archive is run entirely run by volunteers and financed by grants from local bodies, donations and sales of publications based on the collections. Our volunteers are always ready to share their knowledge, enthusiam and skill. We receive visitors and enquiries from all over the world and are delighted to help others in exploring our heritage. This website documents the work at Carwynnen Quoit in depth. It describes the history of this 5000 year old monument, the recent restoration. That this rare example of Neolithic life and belief has inspired during the course of the project. We are adding content all the time and holding new events. So keep an eye out! You can follow us here. With 5,000 years of history, the cromlech has some tales to tell, and even more to inspire. The five acre site was purchased in 2009 by The Sustainable Trust.
